The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and “Escuela de Organización Industrial” (EOI) with support of Malaga Valley are organizing a joint seminar on “Employment in Tourism – Realizing its Full Potential.” The seminar will take place on November 19-20, 2013 in the Trade Fairs and Congress Center, Malaga, Spain.

One thing is certain about the tourism sector: it is fast, changing and infinite in opportunities, variety and possibilities. Tourism is one the most dynamic sectors in the global economy and can play a major role in battling the current employment crisis.

This is the background for the seminar on employment in tourism. The participants will explore the field of employment in tourism by discussing evidence-based policy, best practices, and innovations related to employment issues in tourism.

The seminar counts on the support of and takes place back-to-back with Club Malaga Valley’s annual Information and Communication Technology event, where presidents of world leading technology firms and more than 300 companies meet to promote Malaga as an important hub of industry and technology. Participants are also invited to attend the Club Malaga Valley Seminar on ICT and Tourism will be held on the morning of 19 November.
